BIKSS and I are in our 50s. We met in 1988 but it took us 24 years before hooking up in 2012. We moved into a DD/lg dynamic a year later. In April 2015 some shit hit the fan. We took some time off but eventually found a new us. I used to live alone except for a few shifting years when my folks moved in then out, then after dad passed on, mum moved in again. Now that she too has passed, it's just me, one carer whom I've decided to keep on, and my tenant. He lives with his family. This is us.

Thanks for leaving a note. BIKSS and I absolutely love reading what people have to say. I may not reply immediately, but I WILL reply your comment - especially by the time I've written a new post.

I think you do amazing with your steps!! So don't beat yourself up too much.... every day is a new start :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. I dont really feel “guilt” about not exercising if i manage my steps. But i also dont want to start using that as an excuse cos i know i could easily end up justifying EVERYTHING. I know the sort of person i am. So i try to be conscious of it. This week has been better.
DeleteHi Fondles, thank you for finding and sharing the links each week.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are over the flu. What do you mean not doing so well getting back in the swing? You are doing fantasticly with your goals, and especially the step count.
My update: On track with the exercises but have missed a few walks due to weather. I did manage to walk one way at least on those days. No of stair climbs down by one a couple of days (aim is 3) because of lack of time due to other commitments.
Hugs
Roz
That was a freak day. I dont know how i got in so many steps! Must have had a ton of errands to run :)
DeleteIt's hard. Your goals are a bit loftier than mine, so even when you half-way do some of it,it doesn't look bad to me! But just know that I'm cheering you on!
ReplyDeleteThank u! I know its ok even if i dont hit my targets. Its just i KNOW when its genuine and when im just being lazy lol.
DeleteFrom experience, be VERY, VERY careful when taking NSAIDS. Only take them for occasional inflammation. Never for long term pain.
ReplyDeleteA word to the wise,
Ella
Yup. And im also vehemently against ibuprofen. Ive heard some really bad things.
DeleteEven though you're healed now, you DID have the flu, and you did have the CNY treats... so don't beat yourself up over it. It's a new week now, and you'll do great! I appreciate the articles you link!
ReplyDeleteI hope the articles are useful. I know i enjoy looking things up online so its no bother at all for me to link them here!
DeleteYou had a fabulous week especially seeing you were recovering from the flu, Fondles. Your step count if very impressive. Would it be possible to include some hints on including more fibre in our diets please? I have been googling things and finding some good ideas. thank you for all the other articles.
ReplyDeleteHugs Lindy xx
I usually don't manage crazy high numbers - at most it's 11k or 12k for the >10k days. I also have days where I don't even hit 5k so I guess it averages out!
DeletePerhaps I should look into average step counts. I wonder if fitbit can do that for me without my having to manually do sums!
Just checked the heart healthy foods and most of them include fibre. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL - No problem. I'll definitely have a look at fibre for tomorrow's recap. There's a lot to be said about that - I've spent some time looking at the difference between soluble and insoluble fibre, what it does, how they work etc. I'll be sure to post some links!! Thanks for the suggestion :)
DeleteThank you Fondles xx
