The Dupes I've Been Waiting For

Hello peoples of Blogland! Has it been 2 weeks? According to the date of my last post, it has. I've been lazy. But here I am with pictures!

In THIS post I mentioned getting some sandals and a dress and white top. Well the dress didn't sit quite right, the sleeves were too fitting and there wasn't enough space for me to move my arms. And the blouse was a bust too. Same problem. Only, the neckline was too large in addition to the snug shoulder fit. So I returned them. The sandals, tho, were absolutely perfect. I love them! And I'm so happy with that apricot one. It's soft and cushy and possibly the best item of footwear I've ever purchased online.

I mean, I paid 20 bucks for something that looks like Dolce Vita's $180 Paily Sandal (left) or Steve Madden's $190 Kenley Mule (right) - that's a successful dupe by my standards.

Or a double-dupe even. These are supposed to be the more affordable alternatives to Bottega Venetta's braided mule which costs a whopping USD $1,200. BV's double strap version features a twist, while the single strap is flat across  -

The white pair of flats is a semi-dupe of the Hermes Oran sandal (left) which costs about USD $1k. It's definitely not the same, but it's got the same vibe, more or less. And that's good enough for me. Not every dupe can be as well done as the Valentino Rockstud Bow Jelly Sandals I found 3 years ago (right).

While looking at some other offerings online I decided to pick up these Fendi-esque slides too. ($16)

My thongs are almost dead and I need a pair of run-around slippers for going to the shops etc. These are not exactly dupes, but they do have a very obvious Fendi vibe, can you tell? LOL. As far as I know, the closest Fendi ever came to making something that looked like this was their velvet double F slides, altho they do use a very similar print on their track pants -

I also have some lookalikes for Chanel slingbacks and those kitten heel Bottega mules on my wishlist. But that's a decision for another day.

(Do I get one? Do I get both? Oh decisions decisions! That green is spot on too!)

Just look at the quality of the Chanel dupe-ness!

Now that the shoes have been sorted out, I went to take a look at my bag collection. I could do with some dupes there too. The days of paying full price for named bags are well and truly over. I sold off one of mum's shoulder bags, the Aigner that she hardly wore, and decided to have a look at some smaller bags for when I run out for quick dinner dates with BIKSS. I've taken to just bringing along my phone, smokes and (sometimes) wallet, instead of lugging a whole shoulder bag filled with face mist, tissues, brolly and other necessities a girl might need as she travels on public transport by her lonesome.

I found a Cult Gaia dupe, thanks to Shea Whitney - she linked a version on Amazon but I found an even cheaper one on Shein!

So this is the original, coming in at a whole half a grand and on the right is the $10 version. Will anyone be close enough to tell the difference? No. Will anyone think it's an original? Also no, because Insta and Tiktok are both flooded with all the fashionistas showing off their dupes too! Is it still glam enough for a Friday night date? Definitely!

The other thing I got was a quilted crossbody ($5!). For those casual supermarket runs -

And also thanks to Shea, I found a Gucci-esque strap ($6) on another platform... which I haven't bought, cos I'm waiting for the bag to arrive before doing anything else - but doesn't this look totally glam? It comes in frosted or matt black, gold or silver hardware options. I'll take a closer look at the actual bag before deciding which one to choose.

I'm hoping that from a distance it might give off the same vibe as this Gucci camera bag.

And now I think that's all I have for you. I'm gonna have to mosey on out of here cos I have a date with the mama at the park!

Have some chips! Unsalted!

Tanks and Pigs

The tanks that I wear to work are looking a little worn so I picked up a few more from Shein... cos ... why not? The weather is getting into the fucking-hot zone these days, which is usual for us this time of year. And where I work it's not an issue to come in with tanks (as long as they're decent enough) so I got these - for under 20 bucks (total!).

Except I'm not loving the button detail on the middle one so I popped them off. They were just decorative anyway. Much better without. (Also, I love stripes! Can you tell?)

I'm looking forward to wearing them, but it all depends on the weather. This morning, despite the 33°C (91°F ) sunny days we've been having, the monsoon rains blew in at a nippy 23°C (73.5°F)! It might not be terribly cold to some of you but when it's raining and you factor in windchill, it gets a tad cold for someone used to living so close to the equator.

And on the topic of tanks... here are two dresses I'm waiting for -

I'm in a midi dress kind of mood these days, and I don't have nearly enough of them imo, besides the 3 spaghetti strap ones I own, and a couple of long black tee-shirt dresses (don't ask me why I ended up with 2 in the same colour; the style is ever so slightly different tho).

And in other news, my godson introduced me to a game he's playing - it's called Pig Farm Mix. So far it's cute enough to hold my attention, AND it doesn't take a lot time. I just log in every few hours to feed them, and once they're old enough I ship them out for cash. I think you can breed them too... but I haven't gotten that far yet.

You buy them as piglets, feed them stuff, then over time they grow. And when they're mature you can see what kind of pig they are. I had a Japanese chef pig in a cute white hat, and a Wet pig when a bucket on its head. BUT you'll only get their 'names' when you ship them off to be sold. They then appear in your collection books.

When pigs get too old (over 50 hours old) you don't get any money for them. Hence that old pig sitting in my pen with the red hat. You can still ship them off if you need to make space, but since he was my very first pig, I think I'll keep him. (And yes, when they're old pigs, you can't breed them either!)

Here's today chip pic - pork rinds anyone?

Everlane Anyone?

I've heard a ton about this brand - they say the leather shoes are well made, durable, comfortable, need no breaking in, and some of them, like this one which is made from Nappa leather, are super-duper soft and a godsend for people with fussy feet (like me... bunions and what not - and by what not I mean sensory hypersensitivity).

I've been wanting a pair of multi-occasion/cheat shoes that can double up as something a little more dressy, but could also just as easily be worn with jeans or a denim skirt. Covered toes means if I'm wearing longer pants it could likely pass off (at least from the front) as proper shoes 😁 The grey is a great neutral too.

I don't like actual court shoes because the back tends to hurt - see 'Notch' in pic below. And also to retain the shape of the shoe the 'Counter' tends to be pretty stiff. And then my whole foot hurts and my bunions start to complain.

I swear, if there is one thing I miss dearly about my youth it's that I could strut around in 3-inch heels all day, everyday. The bunions didn't happen until a year plus after my decision to chuck the heels and switch to ballet flats. Here's why that was a bad idea!

Anyway, I do already have two pairs of heeled sandals but they're strappy and open-toed and neither of them would work with a formal outfit.

Thing is, I have great faith in this brand, having asked a couple of friends who have tried their shoes, and from hearing it being recommended on some of the fashion blogs I follow...  BUT I just want to get as many opinions as I can.

Has anyone who reads here ever tried their shoes? If so, which one(s) did you get and how was the sizing for you? Did they run big or small, or were there any other issues?

Do let me know. Much appreciated!

Have some thank-you soy crisps!

Tomorrow! and Lots of Other Things

We're going to have a day out tomorrow. To celebrate my 50th!

We managed to play with the cane last night too :) I said, birthday spanks. He went crazy playing theme songs with the cane on my bum. And I had to guess the tune! From Cliff Richard's Silhouette to Mozart's Sym No 40, Beauty School Dropout to Beethoven's 5th! It was fun. And definitely more than 50 spanks. But then they were tappety taps so I guess it wasn't too bad. Still, I felt a bruise even if it never actually showed up in colour.

I wanna look at some Chinese New Year lampshades, floor mats and table runners at Ikea tomorrow, and we're having that ribeye that was recommended at the steak place we went to 2 weeks ago.

Meanwhile, last week we rescued some food AND my cousin bought me a huge ass chicken pie from a bakery near her place (she had given me some before and I really liked it!) so I made a picnic and we sat at the beach for dinner -

Anti-clockwise from bottom left - red spinach tofu soup, baby spinach leaves with honey mustard and mayo, chicken pie wedges, stir fried egg with onions, avocado cubes, pickled onions. I'm glad he enjoyed the mostly non-meat dinner. It's a thing I'm doing. And I'm happy BIKSS is ok with not having meat-centric meals.

(But we WILL be having steak and scallops tomorrow LOL)

Yesterday's dinner was at a tiny cafe near my piano kids' place.

The little bit of waffle wasn't half bad, but BIKSS wasn't too keen on it I think. I reckon we have to go back another day and have it with ice cream - just to see how it stands up to the cold and wet! That yellow blob is "fake" cheese (you know, like nacho cheese...) on a chunk of boneless fried chicken.

It was surprisingly good. Very satisfying. And the salad bowl was HUGE! I like that there was enough black pepper that I could actually taste it!

This week I've been baking other things besides my lapis - ok, ONE other thing:

Flourless, sugarless, butterless, whole orange cakes. Please excuse the charred tops. This batch got a bit burnt.

The recipe uses sugar but I sub with Xylitol for the diabetics around me. You can find it here -

Whole Orange Cake

The best part is that you chuck everything into ONE FOOD PROCESSOR and you're good to go. This is what the inside looks like (from my trial run a week ago - it got good reviews!)

Next week I've taken some days off work so that I can concentrate on my lapis-ing properly. WITHOUT killing myself in the race to prep for Chinese New Year. It's so early this year that everyone I know is groaning about feeling rushed. Christmas barely over, and now one more thing to start fussing about.

I bought new curtains for my room too - but I haven't put them up. I'll show you what they look like once I do.

And here's the CNY dress - (pic taken from the website). It's just a straight fitted dress with a tight skirt that hits right below my knee. Modest and festive, with all the right elements -  CNY is also the celebration of the begnining of Spring and therefore flowers are important to the traditionalists; red, as some of you may know, is an auspicious colour to the Chinese and is believed to bring good fortune. Perfect for receiving old conservative rellies when they come a-visiting. To me, it's another little black dress I can wear on date nights! The best thing is that it isn't terribly form-fitting so I have room to move, and the all-over distracting print hides all the wrong bumps brilliantly! Where I usually get a Medium, or sometimes a Small for baggier cuts, this time I got me a Large! It is reeeeeally important to check the reviews before buying!

On the topic of fit and form, I recently picked up a few new bras. Basics. From the teen bra section. TEEN. My boobs were small to begin with. As I age I'm inclined to believe the fats in my boobs have migrated into their retirement home that is my belly.

Nothing fancy, just regular everyday bras. Two black ones that have seamless, lightly padded cups for no nipple show-thru under teeshirts, and a nude one that is super comfy - I have three of those in black - which I bought about 15 years ago, and are in dire need of replacing. These 3 bras cost me $95. In comparision, that CNY dress cost me $2.39. Yes. 2 dollars and 39 cents. $3.39 if you add shipping. This world has gone nuts.

And I seem to be in a battle at the moment. Some viral prodrome going on in my body and I'm determined not to succumb to a flu. Which means, it was tme for bed half an hour ago and I really should get going now.

I'll update with pics of scallops and ribeye and new curtains!

Meanwhile, have a chip :)

A Simple Poke

... bowl to share for dinner.

Quinoa and romaine 1/2 and 1/2 as our base, corn, cucumber, pickled beetroot, jalapeno & sweet onion relish, limed avocado, sweet potato mash, and wakame seaweed for toppings, sous vide chicken for our main, and furikake and tobiko for garnishings.

Today's chip pic ~

Inessence by Rubio - Black Caviar

I found a Canadian site that sells it for almost $8. I got mine for about 2 bucks at the dollar-snack-shop. And I'm definitely going to get more if I'm around the area again!

I haven't tried this flavour - it's sitting in the pantry - but I did try the honey mustard one as seen on this UK site - and it was good!

If you're in Greece, try THIS site.

I can't seem to find a seller in the US but I suppose if you're stateside you'll probably get better hits off your search engine than I will.

Sprouts, Treats, Games, Geri and The Girl's Perfume

OK that was a summary, not a title. But I figure if you read that and were still interested, then you'd click to see the whole post. If that seemed like it would be boring, then you could click away and I would have saved you 1.5 seconds.

But for those of you still here, I saw a tiny shoot emerging from the base of my Nanouk just a while ago. I'll take a picture when it's more discernible. It's night time now and the light isn't great outside.

I promised a picture of some pineapple tarts - first, background. Pineapple tarts are very popular around the Chinese New Year period among Hokkien communities because the word for pineapple is Ong Lai and sounds like one is inviting prosperity to visit. Ong literally translated means 'fortune / abundance', and Lai means 'to come'. It's like saying, hey, good fortune, come pay me a visit. The giving of the pineapple tarts isn't the important thing, its the having it in your house that we're gunning for. So buying it from the shops works too.

I was lucky to have been gifted 3 bottles so far - with another coming my way this Saturday (from a cousin).

Left Top - from a distant cousin but we keep in touch with their family cos they live really nearby and she attended the same school and they go to the same church etc etc.

Left Bottom - from my colleague - her sister makes them every year (and she gives me a bottle every year) because I mentioned one year that I really liked her recipe!

Right - my student's mum ordered these from a home baker - the ball types usually have very soft melt-in-your-mouth pastries and this one did not disappoint. The pineapple filling was also very soft and mum managed to eat one of these even after removing her dentures!

💥💥💥💥💥

The other thing I wanted to show you was the Tiger Boy and Tiger Girl pair of cut outs that we usually stick on the door / wall / cupboard doors around this time - boy on the left, and girl on the right. That's just how it is.

This is on my main door. The Chinese words are traditional New Year greetings, and this pair happens to be sitting on fluffy red cushions (cushions in ancient times were reserved only for people of a higher status as their comfort was important whereas the common folk would just sit on the hard floor).

A couple of decades ago these paper cut outs tended to be "realistic" looking, but over the years people have favoured a cuter / more cartoon-like rendering.

Also, here's a quick pic of the big ass Tiger Lantern Light Up in Chinatown -

From a news article - The design features Bengal tigers, with the largest measuring up to 4.5m in length and almost 5m in height. Spanning 880m the light-up has more than 300 lanterns, giving form to more than 60 tigers.

Here's a picture for scale (from the same news article) -

Yup. The Chinatown light up is a thing I make BIKSS do a drive-by of every year! It's really beautiful. On the stretch of road behind that huge tiger is a wide divider which is like a huge long planter that, for most of the year, is all about shrubs and trees, but come CNY turns into a platform for lanterns and CNY decor!

Speaking of CNY, I coloured my hair. Not because I wanted to cover the grey, but just cos I wanted something different. I've gotten bored with the grey-streaks-in-black look.

It's called purple ash. And I'm loving it. And yes, I bought a L'Oreal Excellence box and did it myself. There's no way I'm paying $80 to colour my hair at the salon.

💥💥💥💥💥

I've also become a bit addicted to Evermerge and the whole time I'm writing this post and fixing the fotos I'm thinking of all the things I could be merging in my game. But I shall persist.

The other thing that I've been playing is Wordle.

Apparently it's taking the world by storm. Do you play?

If you've missed the first 200 games, fret not. There's an archive. You're welcome. The only annoying this is you have to scroll forever (down 200 lines) if you want to start at game number 1.

💥💥💥💥💥

Today we saw geri. As usual, I commandeered the entire encounter.

Me - So the Escitalopram for her anxiety, is it an upper or downer? I mean, since her other tranquilizing meds seem to cause her to have somnambulism, couldn't the Escitalopram also cause the same effects since they're all meant to be tranquilizing? If two of the other transquilizing ones have this effect on her, mightn't this one too?

Geri - Oh yes! That's a very good thought. For some patients it's sedating but in some it can be a stimulant.

Me (wanting to punch her in the face because why didn't she say/think of this as soon as I said mum was having trouble sleeping) - So can I stop/ reduce the dose? Will the depression come back?

She - It's not advisable to stop it cos if the anxiety is a prodrome to the dementia then with the progression we’re seeing it might recur if we stop it.  Mmm.. I think we should just keep on giving her the medication.

Me - If it can act as a stimulant in some patients, can we do the same thing we did for the Olanzepine, which is give it to her earlier in the day so that it doesn't keep her up nights, assuming it may also be contributing to the somnambulism?

She - Oh, yes that's actually a good idea. Let's try changing it to a morning dosing.

And that was that. We came home around 430 and I popped the pill in mum's mouth at 5. That's 3-4 hours earlier than she usually takes it. We'll see what happens tonight.

💥💥💥💥💥

The girl sitting across from me on the bus smelled awesome. Not awesome like I wanted to jump her bones, but awesome like Dammit I Wanna Smell Like That.

So after thinking about it for a bit, I waved at her the next time she opened her eyes to see where we were (she was resting her eyes, it was an early morning commute), leaned forward (she was in a seat facing mine) and said "Hi, I'm so sorry to bother you but would you mind telling me what perfume you're wearing?" - all the while praying hard that she spoke English. She did, not well, but she did.

She was caught off-guard, pulled out one of her earbuds so that she could hear me properly (we're all still masked up in public) and then regained some composure and proceeded to pull up the brand of perfume on her mobile phone. She turned it towards me and showed me a page of images.

LIKE. I. CAN. SEE. TSK. I squinted and said "Oh, how do you spell the brand?" And she Googled the brand for me and showed me a result page with the word DYPTIQUE in big bold letters. Now we're getting somewhere.

I think it's called Do Son EDT and I'm now dying to get to the shops in town to see if it's the right one. If not, I'll be sniffing around their perfumes till I find it I suppose. At least we've narrowed down the brand!

My chip pic today ~

Crabstick / seafood stick chips are a popular snack during CNY too. They're absolutely unhealthy, but so satisfyingly crunchy! I have a bottle on standby and I've told myself NOT to open it till CNY. I mean, I've already finished a bottle of seaweed chips... hehe. I need to have *something* to munch when the actual day comes rolling round.

OLW BBQ vs Cola

I wasn't sure what to expect. And I don't even LIKE BBQ flavoured anything.

But I saw them on the shelf and had to try one. I got the BBQ one, cos I had no clue what the other one was. (It's Fresh Cheese and Horseradish, btw.)

Surprisingly, it's not half bad. I would even venture so far as to say I LIKE it.

Have you tried these before?  I might have to go back and get the green one now...

Things I've Learnt Recently

1. Some people get diarrhoea when they take melatonin. We're back to giving mum a benzo, 1/4 of a tablet, as that seems to work better for her.

2. A fruit eating animal is known as a frugivore. (Thanks to Scishow Tangents, I now know a lot more stuff about a lot more stuff.)

3. I am a pollo-pescetarian, or a pesce-pollatarian. (A friend asked me what I considered myself. Semi-vegetarian? Pescetarian? "But you eat chicken," she said. So I looked it up.)

4. The cutest fracture name ever is a fracture in the wrist - it's sometimes called the Pooping Duck Sign. One poor sod came in with a pain in his wrist. We sent him off for an X-Ray and ta-da!

5. I wear hats more often than anyone I know...

And despite saying I wasn't going to spend money on things I don't need, I caved and ordered a hat.

It was $6.75. But I got it for $4.88. PLUS free shipping. The weave of the fabric looks interesting, but the absence of a noticeable seam where the crown meets the brim is really the thing that drew me to it.

This next one was a close contender as well, but BIKSS prefers the first one, and I thought it might also be a bit too dressy for food rescue missions - which is when I usually reach for a hat.

I  do like it quite a lot though - the shape of it, that is. The belt detail, not so much.

Maybe next time, if I ever come across one that DOESN'T have a belt on it. :)

Been Looking at Skincare Again + Lifestyle Medicine Yea or Nay?

That derm course I started on Coursera turned out to be undoable. I didn't understand a thing she was saying. Her accent was awful. The words were unclear. The way the information was presented was jumbled. I gave up.

So now I'm looking at some other stuff back on EdX. It's a course on Lifestyle Medicine. The only thing is a lot of the lectures are only available to paid learners. And to do the whole course, it would cost me about $850. This is money I don't have. Well, ok, that's not true. I could afford it if I really, really wanted to. But I don't know if it's something I really, really want to do. Altho I'm kinda leaning towards Yes.

I do need to think about my income tho...

One of my students just flunked his first semester in high school so the mum rang today in a panic saying she's going to have him stop piano for a bit just until he gets his act together. In my experience, these sorts of cases NEVER come back. Perhaps 1 in 20. A lot of them get lazy (I would too) and stop practising during the hiatus, and when they DO think about coming back, it's very a stressful and tedious endeavour to start practising again and so they decide to quit for good.

To make things worse, the pandemic is proving very de-motivational since face-to-face exams are non-existent. A lot of kids enjoy "levelling up" yearly, so to speak. And when the usual format is changed to this current version of a video-submission type entry, well, let's just say most kids aren't keen, from what I've seen.

So while I don't think I want to pay close to a grand right now for another program, it would be terribly interesting and right up my alley.

Anyway, in the meantime, a good friend (more of a mentor, especially when I was a bit younger and dealing with the father's dementia as a newbie to this whole ageing lark) asked me about supplements / health / skincare etc. And she knows I did a course a couple years ago on this whole nutrition and disease thing.

She also knows I do a lot of my own research on skincare (heh, I'm sure you remember some of my skincare posts... click those links or use the "skincare" tag on the right 👉) and so I thought I'd go look up some resources online I could send her.

I found this awesome set of articles on the Paula's Choice website. While the products are pretty pricey, and I don't get them easily here so shipping will be a real pain in the ass, the information on there is free, so I thought I'd share the links with her. And with you.

If you're interested in other topics, like acne or specific concerns like rosacea etc, look around the site for relevant articles. But here's the page I like best - Anti-Aging. 😹 It's a sort of summary page, but if you scroll to the bottom there are links to articles on all sorts of stuff, including acne and aging, sunscreens, make-up, and specific anti-aging ingredients.

And what skincare am I currently looking at? I'm enjoying the Advanced Clinicals range from iHerb. It's a house brand, developed in a lab in Chicago. And very affordable. Plus they're cruelty free and DO NOT SELL IN CHINA where product testing is sometimes required. I've seen some pretty good reviews too, but I haven't tried everything of course. I do know that their mist toners and retinol night cream (sadly, discontinued) are pretty awesome. They have replaced it with another type of retinol cream which I've purchased but haven't opened as I still have a little bit of the old one left, AND I'm currently still only halfway through the stuff I picked up during my K-Beauty spree. I have a ton of essences and serums so I won't be getting the A/Clinicals ones yet. While I don't love all the K-Beauty Some of them I definitely WILL repurchase:

3 - The Ordinary Retinol Serum (not K-Beauty but I bought it around the same time)
4 - (Maybe) Beauty of Joseon Apricot Peeling Gel. It's either that or I go back to the Ginvera Marvel Gel which I've been using for more than a decade but am reluctant to continue with because it's not cruelty free and keeps getting pricier by the year.

I did say I wanted to get a tub of Beauty of Joseon cleansing balm... to replace the Klair's cleansing oil... but that whole dip-a-finger-in-the-tub-or-have-to-bother-with-a-spatula-in-the-shower business is a bit off-putting. And it's pretty expensive.

So, we'll see.

Let me know. What do you think about the Lifestyle Medicine course thing? And what are some of your favourite skincare brands / products?

Tuesday Things and Amazing Foot Finds

Invisible socks - I need some. You know, plain no-show boat socks to wear with my work slip ons. I went looking on Shein. Where else. I did NOT realise there were half foot versions...

(I'm getting these to wear with my slingbacks!)

Or cut off socks?

(These would work with my loafer mules.)

By the way, the leopard mules came and while they're not as comfy as the black ones, they're still wearable 👇 . I may have made a bad decision with the hat... it's pretty but when I put it on I immediately felt like I belong on the set of a TV Western! Perhaps I should have stuck to an open / round crown instead of getting adventurous with a teardrop. Ah well. It's still wearable. Maybe I'm just not used to it! LOL.)

I digress. Moving on!

These are new to me and could come in handy - Sling back half stockings...

(But the strings look a bit delicate so I'm not getting these.)

A padded ball open toe forefoot version even!

(Um, if you REALLY wanted the extra cushioning I suppose.)

Some come with lace, ribbons, or with pearl embellishments...

I promise you there is an invisible sock to suit your every footwear need!

They also have non slip yoga socks, padded forefoot dancer socks, and well, if you've ever found yourself wishing "If only they had a sock I could wear with my ___" then go look on Shein. I'm pretty certain they have something that'll work for you!

Search for forefoot sock or invisible sock or toe sock if that's what you're after.

They also have toe corrector(s), moisturizing socks, foot tape, and silicone toe protector(s).

Anti-slip toe-stoppers... I mean wot?

I have a bunch of socks in my cart. The next time there's a free shipping promo I'm getting them. My colleague is keen on some of the styles too! The other stuff, I'm not too sure. I don't think I'm going to need toe cushions or anti-slip toe-outline stoppers quite just yet.

For the rest of you who AREN'T keen on foot things, here are some other Covid and non Covid related funnies for the week.

Thanks to BIKSS for some of these. (Speaking of BIKSS, his tees have also arrived but he hasn't had a chance to try them on. They do look like they'll fit tho'.)

(That bear! Love it!)

And off we go!

# 1 -Mistaken Identity

First, I was looking for scarf clasps online and got a bit of a shock when I saw these. Then I realised they're H i j A  b pins and not clit clips. I mean, PHEW! (I'm hoping that changing the spacing and case of the letters will mean people who are searching for that word won't be as likely to land here... I dunno... I just think it wouldn't be very nice for them if they landed on a sex/kink blog.)

Top 👆 Shawl/scarf pin
Bottom 👇 Clit clip. I mean... Right?

# 2 - Never thought of it... but makes sense

# 3 - BIKSS sent this to me and said "YOU". He's not wrong.

# 4 - IT! IT - you need an OBJECT!

# 5 - More English learning needed

# 6 - Evolution in 2 frames

# 7 - Sadly I can think of people who would do it

# 8 - Which reminds me, I need to get a clothes rail

# 9 Another Ikea goodie -

# 10 and finally... one for the science-y people

As always, let me know if you had a favourite, or if any of the socks up top made you curious!
