The Toy Update

If you haven't read it, the Paloqueth Clitoral Sucking Vibrator review can be found here.

And if you have read it, here's an update -

We played with it again this Monday past and yours truly wet the bed.

Yup.

As I climaxed there was a gush of liquid under me and I was both elated and horrified at the same time.

While the orgasm was expected this time, the squirting wasn't.

So far, this has been an exciting toy :)

And while I was on the web searching for images of water gushing forth, I came across this gem.

Tuesday Toon #51

I use the word Toon loosely. Here are some funny posters!

Perhaps a professional would have done a better job of it.

For all you mathemeticians out there.

For all your English majors.

For the punsters!

And for the alkies.

Have a good week everyone - and as always, feel free to let me know which one was your favourite :)

It's a Date - Endgame, QuickRoger, Vadai,

We watched it. Avengers - Endgame. Last Friday. After a quick trip across the border for my favourite char siew bun treats. Only this time, we knew better and I had called up in the morning to place our orders BEFORE getting there.

Spotted that car in front of us. I said to BIKSS
"How much you wanna bet he's Jewish?"

After a good pork rib soup lunch (which is traditionally eaten with Youtiao), we came home for me to freshen up and grab a sweater and shawl and then we were off to the movies.

Our pork rib soup came with added
mushrooms, meatballs and bean curd

But not before we had a romp. It had been a long time since we played, what with the stupid erratic period and everything. So I was totally looking forward to having some sexy time.

After, we looked at the lappy to see which cinema we could make it in time for to catch the late screening of Avengers. But as BIKSS was checking I cheekily reached under him and grazed his balls with my nails. And he reached back to mess with my crotch. Only, as the back of his hand glanced across my mons he remarked that she was wet. And apparently that was all it took for him to turn around and coax me back into bed for round two.

Which didn't amount to much cos halfway as I was on my front I started coughing. Like I had a coughing fit. And he stopped moving so I could cough... but eventually Roger slipped out and I don't think either of us wanted to get going again cos 1) coughing 2) movie to catch 3) he'd just had a cum not too long ago.

But BIKSS made an observation "Coughing contracts the vaginal walls" he noted. Smiling.

"I'll be sure to put that on the blog" I replied :)

After the movie we came back and de-briefed (we kinda geek out after movies and check things up on the internet) and then um, well, it was round three. I don't think either of us intended to go again, but the proximity and recent extended period of abstinence (I say extended, but in reality it was like 10 days) and kissing... the kissing is all it took for both our insides to flip-flop and want MORE than just kissing.

The next morning he surprised me with a bag of breakfast vadai. If you've never had this, well, it's deep fried dough. And if there's one thing I know, every culture has some version of deep fried dough right? Donuts in the US, churros  from Spain / Portugal, You Tiao (or you char kwai - literally "oil fried devil") if you're Chinese / S E Asian - see link above...

And almost everyone likes SOME version of deep fried dough right?

I had three vadais. In the span of 2 hours.

That's way more carbs that I should be eating but who cares!

The only thing is, I don't do very well with cold prawns/shrimp so I had to peel them off and chuck them out before going to town on the actual doughy bits - which in my opinion is the main point of vadai in the first place.

You eat it with a raw green chilli which isn't HOT hot, but does add a very specific "chilli" flavour to the experience.

And that is how I spent the first half of my Saturday - eating surprise-delivery fried dough and writing on my blog :) So far it's a great way to start the weekend.

The Toy Review - Aubergine - The Paloqueth HOLYVO Clitoral Sucking Vibrator

Yes, I finally unboxed it - only to realise that I should have done so sooner cos it needed to be charged!

But eventually, we got over that! A full charge should take 3 hours (according to the leaflet) but after about half hour the charging light stopped blinking, indicating we were good to go.  (And that heart-eyed emoji on the "function" button is the cutest!)

By the way, it also comes with a "travel lock"so that it doesn't accidently get turned on in your luggage - which is the mode it arrived in. Toggling the lock is easy - just press and hold the power button for 5 seconds till you see the light blink twice.

To turn it on, you just press the power button (the top one) for about a second and release, and the lights come on (as seen in the pic below). Then to get it vibrating you press the heart-eye button and you're off!

The Paloqueth HOLYVO Clitoral Sucking Vibrator with 7 rhythm modes isn't quite a sucking vibrator, as much as a regular vibator with a differently shaped body-contact point. Altho having said that, I must say it didn't disappoint!

Instead of a rounded tip, like most standard vibrators, this one has a hollowed shape that sits over a nipple or clit / labia area, and it responds very well to pressure.

So just trying the first setting, which is a constant buzz, I found that if I pressed down a little it amplified the vibrations - to the point that if I had left it for any prolonged period of time I would have peed! I cycled through the rest of the vibration patterns, before settling on a crescendo-ing pulse, and left it on my hood for a little while.

The big question was, could it give me an orgasm?!

If you've been a reader here for a while, you'll know that I don't cum very easily. It takes some serious vibing. So I was a little doubtful at first, but after oh, about 15 seconds, I thought that if I concentrated a little it might do the job...

And in about the time that it took me to formulate that thought, one crept up on me and I was shuddering my way thru a surprise orgasm.

BIKSS was amused at how unexpected it was. "Under 40 seconds" he noted.

Yup. That was how quick it was.

"BUT - was it a fluke?"

Again, readers may remember that I'm one of those people for whom it's more difficult to have an orgasm the more recently I've had one.

So I decided to try again the next morning. This time I left it on the constant buzz and adjusted my pressure alternating between pressing down and releasing, and SUCCESS! And again, it took less than a minute!

It claims to be quiet, but I suppose that's relative. It still does sound like a vibrator, even tho it may not LOOK like one at first. Which makes it a plus point if one is inclined to take it out of the house, or on vacation.

Would I pay 30 bucks for a vibe like this? Yes, if I were in the market for a new vibrator. It comes with CE certification, and I like that the hole for the charging cable is sturdy and reinforced (I've seen toys where the jack to the cable didn't sit firmly in the port and kept causing breaks in the connection).

Plus it's a colour I like, and fits well in the hand. It's really quite comfortable to hold, both size-and texture-wise (silicon).

And it reminded BIKSS of an aubergine, so much so that he mentioned it at least 3 times, so that's what I'm naming this toy!

Everyone, meet the latest addition to my toy drawer. The Aubergine.

Read on for BIKSS' review of The Aubergine :) ...

As Fondles has said, she isn’t one to reach orgasm easily. I enjoy watching  her play with herself and love watching her cum. That moment usually takes a while  and gives me time to help out, whether it is sucking on her nipples or inserting a finger or two.

As Fondles lay down in bed after retrieving the toy I was expecting a longish drawn out event. She turned it on and  proceeded to place it between her thighs, while I lay beside her watching.

As she found the spot, I waited a few seconds before I  leaned over to start sucking on her nipples.

She was giving a running commentary as it went to work when she suddenly twitched and pulled the vibe off her pussy.

My first question was ,"You came?" to which I received a smile and a nod.

I’m sure it took less than 40secs from start to finish, something that had never happened before as long as we’ve been together. We knew she had to try it out again  and she has, with similar results.

While the HOLYVO CSV does not look like your run-of-the-mill vibe, it actually has a nice feel about it. It fits easily in a closed hand unlike some dildos. The texture is nice and the colour should appeal to most people. The vibrations can be quite strong when pressing down.

One word of warning:  the vibrations may be a little too intense if placed on testicles. Yes, I know, that is NOT what it is advertised for but I did it in the name of science. Placing it just around  the glans does produce some nice sensations though, although I dont know if it can do much more than just give nice vibes. Maybe we’ll find out some time.

More pics of the Road Trip - The Food Edition

That's the view from the balcony

Our seafood dinner on the boardwalk which was Black Pepper Crab, Salted Egg Yolk Squid Rings, and Scallop with Broccoli and other veggies.

Yep. Crab.

You can read about it HERE. It's soooo good and juicy - and this was our dessert of choice back in the room after dinner. Gone are the days of chocolate cake...
We had ours with sprinkled powder made from dried sour plums but it will benefit from other flavoured salts too (like the green chilli salt and shrimp salt I got in Vietnam).

Our shadow on the beach after dinner

The view of the restaurant from the beach

And a night view from the balcony

And that's it. More soon!

FFF 2.0 - 21 Flowing Flowing Flowing

That's me. My period came and stopped after 2.5 days. Then I was spotting for 5 days, then it began to flow like there was no tomorrow.

It turns out, before your estrogen levels drop in preparation for menopause, some women experience a surge! Anyway, this coupled with other fluctuating hormones, like the ones that don't trigger the uterine walls to shed properly, makes for a very erratic period. Enter Fondles. Yep.

So as long as it's not consistent bleeding/spotting for more than 2-3 weeks (what???) or there's no excessive / abnormal cramping, apparently I've not a lot to worry about, especially since I've been doing regular checks like ultrasounds and PAP smears and other labwork.

Well, ok, but this is kinda putting a kink in our sex life. The toy I'm supposed to review has arrived. But I haven't had a chance to play with it cos.. well, the tide is high.

Anyway, I also didn't get to swim for 2 weeks. So it's just steps this time.

Average  -- 10,040

UPDATES:

Roz is still healing:

Way to go on the steps. I'm still off exercise at the moment, apart from the stairs.

As for the fasting - I'm not seeing a HUGE weight loss, in fact I'm kinda the same as when I started as I write this, but it HAS been only 5 days...  but I do notice I'm less bloated (despite the extended period... which is GOOD!) and some research into the matter threw up this article:

...which says

"Another cool thing happens when you fast. With lower levels of insulin in the blood (due to lack of food causing it to elevate), your kidneys will shout:

EUREKA! We don’t need all this excess water anymore!

And they get rid of excess water you are also storing.

(Fun fact — glycogen — the stored form of sugar — is stored with 3–4 molecules of water. So when your glycogen goes down, you loose the water bloat that often goes along with it)."

And THAT'S why I've been peeing a lot more!

So while I may not lose any weight, I'm hopeful that my insides are at least running a bit more efficiently!

Some Pics of the Road Trip

Just pics. and some info on the pics. Enjoy!

morning coffee and smokes overlooking the pool

the road ahead

monkeys coming up to the car... I was a bit terrified as they're certainly NOT afraid of humans

That's Bromley on our road trip. He's Daddy's Spurs bear and he's smiling cos they had just scored a victory in the days leading up to the trip! Silly grin the whole time - Him and Daddy BOTH!

Oil palm plantation

Squirrel. I live in an urban jungle so wildlife (yes, this counts, to me anyway) is non-existent in where-I-live.

Yup - there was a warning in the room!

OK That's it for now, more pics soon!

FFF2.0 - 20 Ballet Arms

I tried this last night. My arms nearly fell off.

If you're up for the challenge, join me as I attempt to exercise my arms:) It doesn't take a lot of time, a little over 5 mins, which seems very doable. And if you're not inclined to do this standing up, sit on a stool and just do the arm bits. That's what I did. Maybe when I'm feeling more energetic I'll try it standing up!

Last week's numbers were very satisfying.

Average - 11,423
More than 10k days - 5
Highest no - Tuesday (14,202)
Plus I did a small swim on Tuesday as well - about 250 m

Here's Julie's update - Tuesday updates are totally legit... as are Wednesday, Thursday... Sunday ones!

Here's Olivia's - despite her ouchy ankle, I think those are some pretty good steps!

and ROZ says:
Exercises for me has been a total bust between having to stop to allow my back to heal plus a cold which has now gone to the chest resulting in me now being on antibiotics.

I'm also trying out the intermittent fasting thing to see what all the fuss is about. I'm eating from 1 to 9pm and fasting the rest of the time, so it's a 16:8 protocol. I'm not certain the coffee with a splash of milk (and maybe cocoa that I absolutely must have every morning) isn't going to ruin things on the hormonal-changes front, but at the very least, eating within a smaller time window should reduce my calorie intake for the day. I'll update, but so far it's been ok.

And I know I promised updates and fotos on the mini road trip but this week has been hectic - I've been baking and studying (carbohydrates are fascinating!) and having my period has made me NOT want to do anything except sleep whenever I can.

So, I promise I'll post pictures, just don't hold your breath eh?

Have a great weekend!

A PSA on Alcohol and Breast Cancer Risk

One of the things that struck me during my course on Nutrition and Cancer was research that had been done on alcohol consumption and breast cancer risk.

So I learnt that, in a nutshell, if a woman consumes liquor during the years when breast tissue is still proliferating, it directly increases her risk of developing breast cancer later on in life (the study we looked at mentioned women between the ages of 18 and 25).

I wish someone had told me this specifically when I was in my early 20s and happily drinking copious amounts of gin / wine / whisky on a very regular basis.

Ah well.

Here's a quick read

This is the WCRF's (World Cancer Research Fund) Report on Breast Cancer

(and there's SOME good news here for those of us who were chubby youngsters :
~being overweight or obese in young adulthood (between the ages of about 18 and 30 years) DECREASES the risk of premenopausal breast cancer

~being overweight or obese in adulthood before the menopause DECREASES the risk of premenopausal breast cancer)

This is another quick-ish read from Cancer Research UK

FFF2.0 - 19 (on Saturday... the Baskin Robbins Edition)

Hello blogfriends!

I'm exhausted.

We managed that vacay after all. And now I'm back but the pics are still sitting in my fone. I'll upload them in the next few days I expect.

The good news is that I didn't get any heavier despite the massive eating over the last three days! And we had Baskin Robbins TWICE while on the road too!

I thought their napkin was hilarious and we both had a good chuckle!

Me - points it out to BIKSS
BIKSS - "Well, I do dip and you do drip"
Me - "Only, usually the dripping comes first before you do any dipping!"

And now, last week's numbers (29th Apr to 5th May) :

Average : 7,853
>10k days : 2 (what??? Ok, I've been sitting in my chair studying the last couple of weeks, so I suppose this is to be expected!)
Highest no: 13,825 on Friday
Swam 500m on Tuesday

[Edit : Roz's Update :

I did my exercises 4 days last week. Unfortunately though,I have had to take another hiatus for now as I have hurt my back again doing them. This time, I developed swelling around a couple of vertebrae. Add to that a lovely cold. I am going to have to re-think and find alternative exercises.]

Happy weekend everyone, and Happy Mother's Day to all the mums, grandmums, stepmums, foster mums, godmums out there in blogland!

And for those of you who are over 40, this one's for you- mum or otherwise!

Guess Who's Done with Part One

Me. That's who. I've been spending so much time glued to my lessons on that online course (Nutrition and Cancer) I was talking about, that I managed to finish what they estimated to be 5 weeks' worth of studying in under a fortnight.  All in all I think I had about 6-7 days of study - some sessions were longer than others - but no more than 20 hours in total I think.

I now have my first achievement certificate. I need to get a second course done (Nutrition, Heart Disease and Diabetes) before I get my Certificate in Nutrition and Disease that is comprised of both those courses.

Unfortunately that doesn't start till July 3rd. (I just realised that it's a bit confusing, so I decided to stick this pic here:)

THIS IS NUTRITION AND DISEASE: (first one done, second one starts in July)

So what did I do? I went ahead and signed up for another programme. I have now officially begun the first course (Macronutrients and Overnutrition) in a second programme that I plan to complete. This one is the Certificate in Food, Nutrition and Health. They tell me it should take 8 weeks. I looked at the outline and it does seem more substantial. But I have till the 28th of June to finish it and get my cert, so... and I don't have to start the second course (Micronutrients and Malnutrition) till I'm good and ready, cos there's no deadline for completing the programme.

THIS IS FOOD, NUTRITION and HEALTH : I just got started on the first one.

And remember that upcoming trip? My colleague has taken ill. She was admitted to hospital last night, and has informed us that she'll likely be there for 2 to 3 days. This means if she's not back by Thursday morning then the trip is a no-go for us.

As BIKSS would say, "Exigencies of Service."

*Shrugs*... ah well... what can I do right? But I mean, I don't mind cancelling a vacay cos of, you know, this kind of thing. Poor woman. I hope she gets better soon!

FFF 2.0 - 18 The Boss and the Roadtrip-to-Be

Hokey dokey.

This week in numbers :

9683 average steps
3 days with more than 10k steps
Highest no. was Friday with 16,845!

[Edit:]
Here's Roz's Update:

Exercise days 5/7 plus stairs at work. Unfortunately I may have to take a bit of an hiatus as I have damaged the skin on my back again, and this time it is a bit swollen around a couple of vertebrae.

And oh, Olivia's had a fall, so please, please go over there and give her lots of love!

And there is a small development on the boss and time-off front.

SO today when the colleague ran off to the ladies I casually said to the boss "Hey, we need to sort out this leave situation, cos it's really silly!"

He said "What situation?"

Me : The fact that every time one of us wants to take time off we gotta wait for an update on what the staff strength is like at the head office! It's ridiculous.

He : Well, you caaaan take time off, it's just that if you do then (colleague's name) will have to handle things solo here.

Me : So? what's wrong with that?

He : But then things will go slower...

Me : So? Let it be slower then!

He : Ok ok , but then I'll be sad.

I gave him a glare.

He : And I'll be lonely.

Me : WHAT?

He : Cos there won't be anyone here to talk to me.

I rolled my eyeballs at him and pretend-smacked his butt with the clipboard I was holding.

Me : Those are not good reasons

He : You going somewhere?

Me : Yes. Away.

He : I wanna go away too!

Me : You'll be away in New Zealand for a whole month from the 17th! Stop whining.

He : I haven't left the country in 2 years!

I rolled my eyeballs again.

Me : Whatever it is, I'm giving you notice - I'm not coming to work next Friday cos I'm going away.

He : Bye Bye.

Me : Good.

And so that's how the west was won. Well, the east. We're thinking of driving along the east coast this time, so Yay and Hurray for HOLIDAY! And as I told my therapist today, in a bid to step out of my rigid, structured, plan-everything-down-to-the-last-second comfort zone,  I told BIKSS let's just drive randomly till we see a nice spot and settle down for the night. She was afraid that it might upset my delicate system if I did that, so I reassured her that my significant other knows me well enough and that I trust him enough enough so that I'm pretty certain he won't let me end up in a dumpster, and I actually suspect he will have some kind of plan in place, even tho I've said let's be spontaneous. I'm glad he knows me better than to take me at my word - in this case anyway!

Also - here's  what I'm currently hooked on -  crash course on Anatomy and Physiology. I love this series! There are 48 videos in this playlist, but feel free to skip to the ones that interest you. Crash Course also does courses in other fields. I'm sure you'll find something you like!

Back to School

Yep. Me.

Granted, it's online school. But still, I have to write notes, print stuff, screenshot diagrams, download videos and transcripts, and do assignments! Phew. I haven't done any formal learning that's not music-related in a long, long time.

Image result for studyI'm trying to get a professional certificate in Nutrition and Disease, and a second one after that in Food and Nutrition. I actually signed up cos of personal interest,  but after I told my boss about it he said this could turn out to be a good thing, cos once I'm certified I can run the nutrition-related talks and workshops which our TPA (third-party administrator handling the insurance claims) has been hounding us for. AND get paid extra for it.

This is all well and good, but first, we need to see if the boss will let me take some time off in November to attend my music conference. The one I couldn't go to last year cos he said there was a leave-freeze. What the heck kind of rubbish is that. And it's not even MY office that has a freeze - it's cos if I take time off they can't send someone from the head office to cover my shifts. Which is stupid. Cos if my colleague went on leave my boss says I wouldn't need someone to cover her since I'm competent enough to handle things solo for a couple of days.

In essence, I'm being punished for being competent. Right. *koff*bullshit*koff*

We'll see.
