Bak Kwa and CNY Buy-Out

Oh my goodness but it feels so good to be writing here again. I haven't had the time to go around and read everyone's blogs since, I dunno... Christmas? But I promise once Chinese New Year is done I'll go and visit all of you!

It took me about 2 hours to download and organise all the fotos from my fone to the laptop. I had to sort out not only the vacation pics, but also my birthday celebration and a trip to Chinatown with BIKSS last week.

And thank goodness I've got them all out of my fone too cos I think my album was close to bursting! We're going across the border tomorrow (the way we do before CNY every year) to see what we can do about getting goodies and treats! And it's likely I'll be taking more fotos!

It actually started today, as BIKSS was on leave and he got me after work this afternoon and ferried me to a place that sells BBQ Pork Jerky. Those of you who've been reading here long enough will know I absolutely love what we call Bak Kwa (aka dried meat aka sweet roasted pork jerky).

Wait. Actually, the story begins in the morning when BIKSS made a trip down to my up-till-now favourite shop (which I wrote about here) and picked up 3 boxes of the stuff for me. And then he came to pick me up.

But between his making the purchase and coming to get me I discovered another little-known shop which sells traditionally made Bak Kwa with pork from Brazil! And according to the website it was cheaper than the other one which I already thought offered the best deal in town!

So he said we could go, and then have lunch around the area. And I ended up buying some more from there. I didn't get the super premium range, cos I didn't need it to look pretty - I wanted it for MY OWN GREEDY SELF - so I got the loose bits and bobs, equivalent to ham (or bacon) ends and pieces that you can get at some supermarkets, for just a little more than half the price of what I'd have paid at the more popular shops.

I now have .. drumroll please... 2 and a half kilos of bak kwa in my fridge. OK OK, to be fair, 1 kg of it will be given away, so it's not like I was gonna eat ALL of it. Altho I could. I really could. Believe me. I think BIKSS was a little surprised that I wanted to buy MORE. Ahem. Hon, I really like this stuff. Like I mean, REALLY.

So for now that's all I've got. I'll come back and show you pics of things from the last 3 weeks - gosh time seems to crawl by so slowly when one doesn't have access to one's laptop. It seems like forever-ago that I last wrote here properly.

FFF 2.0 - 4 : Bare

I know “bare” conjures up lots of promise for a post on a blog like this. But nope. I still have no laptop. I also have no BIKSS for the next couple of days so I can’t steal HIS laptop. So all I have is a bare post today - here is a screenshot of my step count. I hate using my phone to write here btw. Yuck.

See you soon :)

And I clocked >10k everyday except Monday. Yay me.

SUNDAY UPDATE:

MY LAPPY'S BACK!

Here it is - links to other FFF blogs this week(end)...

Julie is well on her way to losing those pounds

And Olivia is also stepping it up!

And Roz needs some cheering on methinks! ~

I'm not yet back on track with my exercises, lacking motivation to re-start. I have been continuing walking the stairs at work though.

That's it for now. I'm going to spend some time tomorrow downloading the pics from our vacation... and also possibly some of the Chinatown pictures from our date last week.

Stay tuned everybody!

FFF 2.0 - 3

Guess who had a great week. I'll give you a hint. She's just come back from vacation and celebrated her birthday 4 days ago.

*grin*

Last week's numbers:

Average number : 13,712
Highest number : 18,978
No of >10k steps days : EVERYDAY :)

Right. You know the drill - leave a comment, or write a post, or leave a comment telling me you wrote a post!

I'll update when I can. *these words sound so hollow, even to me... yup, still laptop-less*

*EDIT*

Gawds it's terribly only being able to log in and type with a keyboard twice a week. I rang the 'puter repair guy and he says he's waiting on ONE last part to arrive and then I'll have my lappy back again.

Meanwhile, I'm not the only grumpy one. *mutter mutter*

That's all folks!

(Unless I get my laptop back before then, I'm going to just assume my next visit here will be Friday!)

In the Interim

So my lappy is in the shop. One of the chipsets is dead he says. I'm waiting for it to get replaced.

Meanwhile I've stolen BIKSS' laptop for a little while so that I can write a little update.

Anyway, the vacation was fabulous! There was lots of eating, lots of walking, and lots of being little!

There were NO fights - HURRAY! and I didn't put on any weight when I got back - despite eating way more than I usually do.

We had a lovely dinner out on a deck by the Saigon River, at a restaurant called The Deck. Go figure.

(Oh, as I was narrating what I was typing I said to him, "out on a what? We had dinner on some planks?" Him: *spitting out the words and trying not to laugh* a DECK!  LOL. It was hilarious. OK, sorry. You had to be here maybe.)

I have no pictures for you because everything is stuck on my fone and not here on this laptop and I can't be arsed to connect my fone to get some pics here and then repeat the process when my own 'puter is back safe and sound. So I'll just wait till I have it properly before I shove all the holiday pics down your throats.

I would have been back here sooner too, if I hadn't lost my luggage to someone who clearly couldn't tell his own bag from mine. The airport staff were awesome. They identified a bag left on the carousel that looked like it could have been mine, but wasn't. Then they looked at the tag and assured me they would track the fella down and get him to return my bag which they were convinced was taken in error.

After that was sorted (within 48 hours thankfully - I was really upset at the prospect of having lost all my holiday loot!)  I was again up and at 'em with ... CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY. Yup. I'm a year older. Which reminds me, I need to fudge with the introductory paragraph up top. We had a quiet dinner at a German bar type of place, but I didn't think the food was all that fantastic. It was pretty steep too, so I don't think we'll be going back there. Plus it was hot on the heels of the Vietnam trip where we had the opportunity to dine at some really lovely places which had super yummy food and great ambience.

I got a surprise chocolate cake from a co-worker, which was lovely of her, and the boss gave me a unicorn stuffie! Score! It's a fiery red thing to match my personality he says HAHA.

The day after my birthday the celebrations continued with my BFF Betty and some of our mutual friends at a local eatery - steamed crabs! I love seafood. It was good. They surprised me with another cake. Mango.this time. I ate too much.

And thus was gained the extra weight. From birthday feasting, not holidaying.

Now it's time to say goodbye to all our company...but don't worry... we'll be back to our regular programming once I HAVE MY BLOOMIN' LAPTOP BACK!

FFF2.0 - 2

As you read this I'm likely to be having wild sex in Vietnam with Daddy BIKSS. I think it might be night time where I am and we'll be taking advantage of the last night together in our cosy (I'm assuming it'll be cosy) room before heading home tomorrow.

Here are the steps from the week before -

Average no : 13,783
Highest no : 19,926 on Saturday
No of > 10k days : 6

I'm glad for the great start to the year's reporting. Choir has been keeping me busy and active and I'M LOVING the involvement. There's a great energy there and I'm glad to be helping them out wherever I can.

The folks have 4 hospital visits this month and I'm not going to a single one. This is a good thing. Trust me. I've gotten the part time help, a medical escort, and my sister to handle all of it.

I will be coming back to a crazy schedule of baking. Chinese New Year is on the 5th and 6th of Feb so the next two weeks will be nothing but baking.

I'd better carry on taking advantage of this vacation while I still can! See you all when we come back!

(I'll add links and comments tomorrow!)

*** EDIT***

I'm so sorry I didn't get round to posting the updates on time. I found myself without a device and then I was off to Vietnam and we didn't have the greatest internet there, so yeah. Here it is tho - I'm still only "semi" connected at the moment (using BIKSS' lappy) so I'll update the FFF page with newcomers and what not in the weeks to come. You really shouldn't be holding your breath tho, cos Chinese New Year is around the corner and I've got a lot to get done before the first week of Feb!

Here's Julie at Master's Pleasing Bitch, joining us for FFF this year!

Roz's update -

I haven't got back to my exercises yet apart from the stairs at work but hope to get back to them soon. My skin hasn't fully healed.

Downunder Don left a totally update-worthy comment on the previous post - so here it is:

The FFF journey continues; it has been nearly a year since you started and invited us to join. I have gained a few kilos over Xmas but I have already shed nearly 2 of those pesky little buggers. I have not been doing much walking lately; too hot even for a walk to the beach and back. Hopefully I will be back on track soon.

And that's all for our roundup and update!

Check in tomorrow for new post :)

Updated FFF Page and Ready for Vacay

I've been doing a lot of cleaning up around the house, and now that the packing and sorting is mostly settled, I managed to get down to organising schedules and the blog.

The new FFF page is up and I'm hoping for some of those who stopped halfway to come back and join us for a brand new year. No pressure tho. Just sayin'.

My monthly planner is also more or less up to date. Appointments pencilled in, dates of important events marked out in red.

Last night's dinner was Dim Sum

Daddy helped me to pack for our vacation last night after we got back from dinner, cos for some reason I just had this awful feeling that I didn't have enough / relevant clothing. It helped that he's been checking the web for places to go and things to see, cos gosh, but I haven't had the chance to plan for this trip at all! Usually I'm the one who gets crazy with the planning and plotting of routes and printing of lists of places to go and food to eat.

I guess I have been busier than I thought, so it was a huge relief when, over dinner, BIKSS suggested some places we would go to when we got there.

He's actually already sorted out at least half the trip, with alternatives to boot, and some places that are optional depending on how we feel when we get there.

Still, I fudged with the clothes again today, and I think I'm finally happy with the selection I'm bringing - 1 dress (casual / day), 1 playsuit, 1 knee length skirt, 1 mini skirt, 1 denim shorts, 2 black capped-sleeve tops, 1 white tank, 1 printed grey tank.

For mucking about I have a black cover up tank for my yellow floral bikini and a pair of light cotton wear-at-home shorts.

And of course, flip flops!

I have a bunch of underwear that I'll likely wear and throw out and not bother to bring home. And a bra that has seen way better days too.

When I showed BIKSS which knickers were for going out and which were for sleeping in, his reply was "What makes you so sure you'll be sleeping in any knickers at all?" Now that I think about it, what makes HIM so sure that he'll be getting any sleep in the first place!! I'm gonna be attacking Roger every chance I get! Haha!

But on a more serious note - I've also asked him to remind me regularly that I'm his lidl and he's Daddy. Cos I really don't want to get pissy on this trip, and ruin our vacation. And I KNOW just telling myself to be respectful isn't going to help as each day wears on and I get tired and cranky. So just as my being in little mode helps draw out the Daddy in him more, when he goes Daddy on me I tend to stay focused on my littleness and maintain my submission a bit better. And I'm hoping that helps keep me safe from the nasty grumpy monsters that live in my head.

FFF2.0 - 1 and Snippets

I decided (with BIKSS' help) that we shall be using this title for the year ahead. Or else at some point we'll just be going into the hundreds and that will drive me mad.

I also think that instead of doing a round up on Sundays after my posts go up on Fridays (since I'm so often late anyway), I shall just do ONE summary post over the weekend at some point - I'm gonna aim for Fridays - and then edit and add to it as comments come in and  other FFF reports pop up.

So here's the first FFF update for the year - charting my final week of steps for 2018:

Average no: 11,087
Highest no : 14,022 on Christmas day - lots got done that day, what with church and carolling.
>10k days : 5

All in all I think we had a pretty good run last year. Some folks started with us then took breaks, some came back, some reported in intermittently and others stood by and cheered us on. Everyone's participation was (and still is) appreciated and well done, especially, to those of you who diligently stuck with FFF all year!

I'm happy to announce that I've stayed at 56kg for a good long time now, having been a little pissed at one period that I was fluctuating up to the 58 mark. So this seems like success.

Yes. I'm going to just call it that :)

Olivia has a bunch of intentions on her blog. Go have a look at what amazing plans she has for the coming year!

***

Here's Roz:

Unfortunately, I'm still struggling a little to get back on track and both the scales and body shape are going in the wrong direction :( I have also managed to damage the skin on my back again with the exercises and will have to stop for the coming week to let it heal. Thanks to working through the holidays this year (sigh), I have been continuing with the stairs at work. This past week I did full exercises 2 days and half of them 1 day.

***

Meanwhile - snippets of the week gone by (and plans for the days to come):

I've been told that this new "take a step back and just let them sort out their own mess" approach I've taken re: the parents' drama is called "subtly not giving a fuck" and that sounds kinda cute so I'm liking that phrase tremendously.

The caregiver we hired to accompany the father to the hospital reached out to me and since she's only freelancing with the agency, has told me she is able to take private engagements as well. Which means we pay less, and get the same level of service. I shall keep her in mind for future hospital visits that I cannot attend.

I'm back in full-on baker mode. I've taken some layer cake orders and have already sold 4 between Christmas and New Year's. I will be baking two more in a couple of weeks' time. Because...

Next week we're going on VACATION! We're off to Ho Chi Minh again cos we love the place. Mainly we love the one pizza place that we went to the last time we were there. And so, 4Ps Pizza it is! I know it sounds silly to base the vacation venue on a restaurant - but it really IS that good.

balodeplao.com

I'm also currently finishing up the last slices of my Christmas fruit cake. I'm pretty certain it will push me over 57kg but by morning (after the usual coffee/ciggie poop) I'll probably be fine. Besides, I will have a busy day tomorrow so it doesn't look like I'll be doing too much unnecessary eating cos...

Tomorrow is choir day and we have a ton of stuff to get sorted. From meetings, to uniforms, to admin stuff, and then there's practice and full rehearsal. So I'm counting on the busy-ness of the day to take care of any extra calories.

I've taken to listening to the Bible on my fone via "Bible Gateway". It's an app that has an audio Bible option and I'm quite enjoying the "dramatized" reading. It calms me down to have something to listen to and concentrate on when I'm walking from one place to another or when I'm in the shower. Or just doing whatever I'm doing.

I also do a nightly bedtime yoga routine that mostly involves just concentrating on breathing and stretching in bed. That's the best part about it. You sit in bed, breathe and stretch for about 10 mins, then end with a Reclining Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana) that basically sets you up to fall asleep in 2 seconds flat! This is the video I used. After a couple of nights I was able to remember the routine enough that I could do it with the lights off and just sleep at the end of it (without having to get up again and fuss with turning off lights / fone etc.).

(Can't remember if I've shared it before, but it's good, so here it is again, if I have!)

The sister has been helping with the folks so that's taking some pressure off me. Mostly because 1) she knows that I'm in therapy and I think that was a wake up call for her, and 2) I'm subtly not giving a fuck more and more these days.  See how useful that phrase is? It's not that I'm being purposefully unhelpful or anything, I've just stopped killing myself bending over backwards to sort out the parents' shit.

On date night yesterday we went to an old shopping mall in a very mature part of town. It's an old area and the buildings are old and well, everything reminded me of when I was 10! I recently discovered a restaurant chain in my neighbourhood (they just opened near the swimming pool I go to) with very decent prices. It's a grill / steak type place and I thought BIKSS might enjoy it. So we decided to explore a different part of My Country and headed to another of their branches. (We were both so hungry that we attacked our dinner and didn't take ANY photos. Oops, sorry.. maybe next time - and there WILL be a next time.) After that we came home, stuffed as turkeys (is that a legit phrase?) and rolled into bed - after he helped me fold the laundry that was occupying it!

I had worn a thong (on purpose!) - a red one - a racy lacy number even - and he was very keen to get spanking. He took his belt off... wait for it... and draped it on the chair. I was a little disappointed. Haha. "You put the belt down?" I asked. He said yes and then asked if I wanted the belt.

Nah, hands will do, I replied. But Yummy Yummy Yummy hands on butt they were.

He climbed over me and just as we were gonna get down to it he dropped a pillow over my face. Haha.

I suppose he had heard the roomie come home at some point and didn't think I should make too much noise.

After Roger was sorted we were chatting and I said something about how that felt good etc... except "I couldn't hear what you were on and on about while we were fucking cos the pillow was on my head and you were whispering stuff but I couldn't hear you."

We were both laughing about it - "Daddy's little pussy", it seems, was what he was grunting as he was having his way with me. :)

There was a round two after that - AND I didn't bleed (did I mention I'd had some spotting occasionally during sex?) - so I dare say we're both doing great in the whoopie-making department.

All in all - it's been a great start to 2019!

Here's to many many more whoopie sessions, FFF check-ins, and date nights for everyone!

FFF 48 Recap and Hello 2019

Guess who totally forgot about doing a roundup of the last FFF!

Here's Olivia's end of year edition.

And here's Roz :

I did actually do my exercises yesterday after some time off over the last couple of weeks and plan to get back on track in the new year.

The crossing over from 2018 to 2019 was a quiet one for me. BIKSS is up and about, and has gotten over his bug. On Monday I went shopping with an ex colleague, and we hit the local branch of a popular Japanese food and lifestyle discount mart - my first ever trip to the store. Since it opened here my friends have been raving about the extensive range of snacks and munchies they carry. They're not wrong. It is a heaven for snacker-monsters like me, and, I imagine, can be quite hellish for anyone trying to lose weight!

I ended up buying a ton of stuff. And then we made our way to Crabtree & Evelyn in the middle of town to see if we could pick up any of the massively discounted gift packs. If you haven't heard, they're closing their retail doors, so if you want to get any C&E stuff in the future, it'll have to be via their online shop. The outlets here have announced a 60% discount off all the Christmas sets (subject to availability) so we braved the crowds and dived in. I picked up 2 Gardener's body wash and lotion sets!

After that BIKSS picked me up from a train station nearby and I rode-along while he went and got take-out for dinner. After getting his stuff, he drove me home and we shared a quick Happy New Year kiss.

The evening's plans were simple. A late mookata (mu kratha) dinner with some friends (the BFF - the one I call Betty, dirty-bench buddy, and another) followed by unhealthy Japanese snacks from the afternoon's looting of the discount mart paired with tea, and accompanied by good conversation!

We hung out till midnight, then after finishing up our last round we headed back.

Tuesday saw me at the pool with the gay buddy trying to catch a tan. It felt good to be able to get back to swimming after such a long break (we get lots of rainy afternoons in the last quarter of the year).

And then it was Wednesday and Fondles decided to treat herself to a shopping spree at Victoria's Secret because 1) she didn't have to teach in the afternoon, 2) she needed to pick up some wardrobe essentials, and 3) she felt like exploring the shopping belt.

There was a sale at the VS store, so I ended up with 3 bras and 6 panties! Score. I've only ever bought VS stuff online, and this is the first time I'd been to their physical store. I was impressed. Despite the crowd, the 'bra-fitting-specialist' was 100% attentive and extremely patient as she helped me with figuring out the right size. And I didn't even ask for help.. they just go around asking if you've been fitted for a VS bra before... I said no, and the next thing I know a tape measure is around my torso.

It was a great shopping experience all in all, and I've announced to BIKSS that I'm pretty much done with getting hit-and-miss lingerie from other shops / brands, so I'll just get my necessities whenever they have a sale.

We never used to have the physical stores in the country where I live so I had to get my stash via mail-order in the past. Literally. Before the internet, I had physical paper catalogues sent to me and I would fill out the order form and send it back!

Over time shipping got more and more costly, and with newer brands popping up all over town, I just settled for whatever was available in the shops here. But I don't think I've found a brand that I love as much as the VS panties, seeing as how 9 out of 10 times they're the ones I pick up out of the underwear drawer in the mornings.

Everything was half off so it was a very fruitful trip! Some of the pieces are in the wash, but these didn't get mixed in with this evening's darks.

I love how sweet and feminine this one is.

I have a total of 4 of these, 3 in this colour, and 1 in gray.
The other 2 undies I have are a black/lace one and a multi-stripe one.

Then I ran some other errands, and wouldn't you know, along the way I managed to pick up a skirt from Temt! Black, with buttons down the front. For under 10 bucks. Perfect.

BIKSS came round with dinner this evening after footy, and I gushed about my day as we ate. But tomorrow - tomorrow is date night. And I think it's time Roger got in on some New Year's action!
